Yea, I definitely agree with all of that. I personally don't play any of those bands anymore (except Gwar), but good luck getting others to stop playing all of those. I was equally surprised that Amon Amarth hit top 200. I've interviewed those guys like 100 times. Nuts! Makes sense though.

wow, people actually still listen to both Norma Jean and From First to Last. I remember I did at one point, you know, when I was fourteen and dumb about music. Looks like they still cater to the same age group.

I need a ruling here, preferably from Foghorn, on whether or not we can play Entombed?

Waka Flocka Flame is what this station needs to play. Every show.

I say yes to Entombed. That's kind of like the Sepultura debate.

Not to raise the aforementioned shit storm, but I have to say I find the number of bands that are being pulled of the rack pretty disturbing. Alot of these are bands that have been fine the last 8 years or so, and lately it seems, have been getting pulled for one reason or another. Having stepped down from my directorship I no longer have a say in this, but I would appreciate it if the board of directors used a little more discretion in deciding which bands are and aren't ok to play. More band have been taken out this last year, than all of the prior three years combined. (Deathkolk I can understand, and yeah In Flames has been getting some air time lately, but Psychostick and Gwar? Really?)

In the last 6 mouths more than half the band I normally play on The Demon's Opera have been pulled and it's getting pretty frustrating. As I said I am no longer a director so I do not have a say in this, but as an alumni whose been a station member for 4 years and a current DJ I would really appreciate a toning down of the CD pulling. Just cause band does a few big shows doesn't necessarily make them main stream, and just because other radio stations have been playing a band's new album doesn't mean all their all their old albums should get pulled as well.

i have no idea about psychostick(never heard of them) but gwar is pretty popular, theyve been on shows on mtv, theyve charted top 100 on billboard on their last record. i love gwar as much as the next guy but they are pretty huge and grammy nominated

just my thoughts on the subject
